Synopsis:
AH! The time has come. Our boy John Romita jr has started on a new title. And a new man comes into the picture, as does a new inker. Mike Deodato pencils and Joe Pimentel inks. We first start the issue with Mary Jane on stage...going over a part at an audition. A man calls to her from the seats and simply asks her to stop acting. ( simply? ) MJ tries again. But doesnt work out, she doesnt understand. She starts of to walk off stage when the man walks, he stops her and says "I told you to stop acting". ( Stop Acting? ) What he is really trying to get at is she needs to think of it as it is happening. The story that is. He wants her to have an emotion that the character would. She tries again, thinking of Peter at the time. He asks what she is thinking of, she states "My Husband, and how much I love him, hes waiting outside in the lobby for me".

Later she walks out with news for Peter.........she got the part. After trying, trying, and trying she did it. Finally got the part. Later Peter, Mary Jane and Aunt May are at the dinner table, Mary Jane and Peter are talking about the part while Aunt May is running through the mail. Aunt May asks Peter into another room. Peter thinks she gonna blame him for something, as it turns out...he got mail.....not just from anyone.....Gwen Stacy. The letter has an apology and a story about how she tried to contact him but he was in Canada according to Aunt May. She said something awful happened, but she never got to what it was only one page was sent. Later MJ walks out to Peter in the yard. Peter then goes through some flashbacks that happened with Gwen. Peter then states problems...why would she send only one page....the date says its a current letter...and why does the postmark say "New York City"? He thinks someone is messing with him.

Peter is later in bed with MJ who is sleeping, he is thinking about how great MJ is to be a good listener, and not jellous, kind and gentle about Gwen...and not mean about her. Peter then goes to see Gwens grave...while the visit continues...his Spider-sense goes off. And he is attacked. The fight goes on.............they try to kill him when he jumps onto a big truck...the man then takes his mask off....and if Im not mistaken...he could be Flash. ( I could be wrong )

Good: I like Mikes Penciling style. What a way to start off a new arc with a new penciler! Wow! And the story!!!!! Sheesh! Amazing!

Bad: Nothing at all! Ok, sometimes over shaded ( probably just light effects ). But its just a small thing.

Call me optomistic.....but its a 5 out of 5 completely!
